What We Store

The Proximos API is designed with minimal data retention. No connection or device-identifying information is collected.

Stored

  • Request count per license key — used for fair-use limit enforcement
  • Queried endpoint and parameters — logged to AWS CloudWatch for operational monitoring

Not Stored

  • IP addresses
  • Device identifiers or MAC addresses
  • User-agent strings
  • Any personally identifying information beyond your license key

AWS CloudWatch

API activity is logged in AWS CloudWatch for operational monitoring, abuse detection, and fair-use enforcement. These logs are retained according to standard AWS CloudWatch retention policies and are not shared with third parties.

License Key Storage

Your license key is stored in an AWS DynamoDB table solely to authorize API requests. It is not used for any other purpose and is not shared with any third party.

Customer Records

Your customer record — including your license key, e-mail address, name, purchase history, and associated account information — is retained for seven years in accordance with standard business and financial recordkeeping requirements. After that period, records are purged.
